FAQ

FAQ Question What is test and tag?

It’s the process of inspecting and electrically testing appliances to make sure they’re safe to use. Each item gets tagged with a label showing when it was tested and when it’s due again.

FAQ Question Who needs test and tag?

Any business, tradie, or organisation using electrical tools or appliances, especially in a workplace. It’s part of workplace safety laws.

FAQ Question How often should I get things tested?

That depends on the environment. For example:

  • Building and construction: every 3 months
  • Workshop or rough environments: every 6 months
  • Office or low-risk areas: every 12 months

FAQ Question What can you test?

Any 240V portable appliances with a plug — like power tools, kettles, extension leads, power boards, etc. If you’re not sure, just ask.

FAQ Question Do I get a report or certificate?

Yes. You’ll get a full test report and a Statement of Compliance for your records.

FAQ Question Are you qualified?

Yes. I’m a licensed electrician (EW114323) and hold a nationally recognised test and tag certificate (713713-4471756).

FAQ Question Where do you work?

Based in Mandurah, I cover the Peel Region — including Rockingham, Pinjarra, and surrounds.

FAQ Question How much does it cost?

Prices depend on how many items need testing. Get in touch for a quote — I keep things fair and simple.

FAQ Question How do I book?

Call, or email — I’ll reply fast and fit you in.
